Uniquely, Reyer Farms raises beef exclusively from Pineywoods cattle, a Spanish Criollo breed brought to the Americas in the 1500’s. Shaped by the natural environment of the Deep South, these cattle thrive in the hot and humid weather to yield a remarkable beef experience.

PINEYWOODS CATTLE // Pineywoods cattle were brought to the New World by the Spanish explorers in the 1500s. These hardy cattle thrived for centuries in the the Deep South foraging in the open woods, green pastures and native scrub. Our Pineywoods Cattle are a rare landrace breed designed by their environment to be gentle on the land and to be a good steward of the natural resources. The beef is a lean quality with a naturally beefy flavor that is delicious.
