Jackson Restaurant Week: Charity Never Tasted So Good

Jackson Restaurant Week gives local restaurants a chance to show off their best food and service – and raise awareness for outstanding local charities. Eat Jackson’s 7th annual Jackson Restaurant Week returns next week with 45 participating restaurants raising awareness and funds to help feed the hungry in our community through a unique partnership with Extra Table.

Soul Food City

With seven days of good eats and great giving, Jackson Restaurant Week is unique among its peers as it spotlights both our local food scene – and local food charities:

  • Gateway Rescue Mission
  • Stewpot Community Services
  • Tuesday Neighborhood Ministries at Wells Church
  • Madison Countians Allied Against Poverty (MadCAAP)

Each time you eat out at one of the 45 participating restaurants October 9 – 15, you may request an official ballot and vote for your favorite of the Charity Finalists to win thousands in free groceries thru our partnership with Extra Table. Every dollar will feed the hungry right here in the Jackson metro area, showing why we’re truly a Soul Food City!

The VIP Party

Eat Jackson founder, Andy Chapman said, “I can’t remember a year when we’ve had such an overwhelmingly enthusiastic response to Jackson Restaurant Week among our restaurant community, and our VIP Party will demonstrate that.”

With 19 participating restaurants, a Virtual Reality experience, a French wine showcase, signature cocktail, craft beer tastings and a truly extraordinary local musician, this is not a party to be missed.

On Wednesday, October 4, the River Hills Club will come alive with food, drink and entertainment as we join together to celebrate our Soul Food City in style. Event information and tickets are available at JacksonRestaurantWeek.com.

A special thank you to our team of loyal volunteers who serve to make this event an extraordinary experience for all involved!

Thanks to Sponsors

The generosity of this event wouldn’t be possible without the support of our sponsors. They contribute financially as well as with goods and services to amplify the message of Jackson Restaurant Week and supply the goods that make our kick-off party a huge success. Without them, our food scene wouldn’t be given the opportunity this event affords – and local charities wouldn’t gain the exposure and needed funds. Jackson Restaurant Week is truly a community effort made possible because each sponsor, restaurant, charity and diner does their part earn our metro its reputation as a Soul Food City. We are humbled and grateful for the contribution made by each of our 2017 Sponsors:
