When we get a truly fabulous California wine dinner in Jackson, you need to plan to be there – so mark your calendars for a wine dinner that is sure to please coming up at Char Restaurant, where they know their food and know their wine!

On Tuesday, March 19, diners will be treated to a delectable four course dinner, with a glass of wine selected to pair perfectly with each course. Eat Jackson was excited to get a sneak peek at the inventive menu created by Chef Derek George. The offerings from the food and the wine selections from the bar are truly tempting:

Ahi Tuna Tartar

with avocado and mango finished with mango vinaigrette
Wine pairing: Edna Valley Sauvignon Blanc

Pan Seared Scallops

over Granny Smith Apple and Walnut Chutney, finished with Vanilla Bean Burre Blanc
Wine pairing: Frei Brothers Reserve Chardonnay

Blackened Duck Breast

over Alond and Golden Raisin Cous Cous, finished with Cherry Jus Lié
Wine pairing: Bridlewood Pinot Noir

Assorted Artisan Cheese Plate

with country sausage and creole mustard sauce
