Jackson and our State lost an incredible young man and a talented chef. Craig Noone was an inspired entrepreneur and a great friend. His passing, tragically, was a mere few days after his restaurant, Parlor Markets first anniversary.
I got to know Craig over the past couple years, he was a great friend and always had time to visit and speak, however briefly. His untimely death is a jolting reminder of how we don’t know our time here on earth. Craig was running the Two Minute drill, much like a pro quarterback hitting the deep bomb and the hurry up offense flawlessly. Craig didn’t know it was his time much like you and I don’t. I visited with many of his friends this morning via phone. He will be missed greatly but maybe we can grieve this loss being reminded that we can’t live life like we have a 4 touchdown lead in the first quarter, or even like we are too far behind to make a stand. As you contemplate and mourn the loss of our great friend, ask yourself this: Are you running the two minute drill? Are you doing what matters most? When is the last time you contemplated long-term consequences of your short term decisions?
Craig, your loss is great but I pray that your life can be an encouragement to others as it has been to me.

Wonderful article, thanks. As I didn’t know Craig personally the more I read the more I wish I did!

He will definitely be missed. So much talent taken too soon. He had changed the face of fine dining in Jackson with Parlor Market and “fun dining” with the PM pop-up restaurants. A short life and shorter career which has left a deep wound on Jackson as a whole, and especially it’s food scene. I pray for comfort for his family, his friends, and his extended restaurant family during this tragic, heart-wrenching time.

If anyone ever “filled the unforgiving minute With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run” It was the best man i ever knew Craig Noone. He graciously lived more of his dreams in his short time than most people conceive of dreams. Infectious, Relentless, Irresistible, Genuine and Courageous
