My lunch earlier this week was a good one. We didn’t have much time, and let the waitress know. She made it all happen within the time constraints we were faced with. I was also impressed with her ability to bring a refill. I jokingly tell folks that “I’m a heavy drinker.” I can get 3-4 refills of water or tea in a meal, no problem. Sometimes I take it as a personal challenge to see how quickly they can bring the next one. Our waitress was great. She kept up, and when she thought she might get behind, brought me two backup glasses… Huge props for that.
I don’t want to belabor this point too much, but I’m a firm believer that eating out that goes well involves two things as a primary. Food is number one on that list. If your food is terrible, bringing it quickly does me no good. The food must be good. However, mediocre food can be slightly redeemed with exceptional service. AJ’s had great service.
So lets get to the main thing. Food.
Both of our lunches were great. I didn’t get the best picture of my lunch, but I’ll do better next time. I mentioned we were in a hurry right?
Both meals were great, tender shrimp. Tasty goat cheese in the salad. Fresh greens, no complaints at all from the crew on that one. All in all, it was a great lunch, and I’ll definitely go back. I think 3 of us got out of there for around 55 bucks. Not cheap, but great service and food.

AJ’s has great food and excellent service. Just night time was not the right time. Price for our meal on Valentine’s Day was $100. Although the price was a little steep, it was well worth it.
I’ve never thought they were the biggest bang for your buck, but they have good food, and good service. Paying for it is your choice…
